Its that time of the week again…. Mid-Week Energy time!
The note the bible has about Proverbs 15:14 says “We must be careful what we feed our mind. If we are “hungry for knowledge,” we will not only live according to God’s plan, but we will also love and study His Word, which is more valuable….than millions in gold and silver” (Psalm 119:72). When our thoughts dwell on unhealthy things- things that draw us away from God- we are feeding on “trash”. Filling our mind with evil thoughts, words, or images will only hinder us in the recovery process. Instead, we are commanded to “fix [our] thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worth of praise” (Philippians 4:8)
I believe we need to be careful what we are feeding ourselves. I believe that “what you eat, is what you are”
If you are going to feed yourselves negativity, self hate, and judgement, that’s what’s going to come out. If you are feeding yourself love, joy, and peace, that’s whats going to come out.
Times in life, like being in a recovery, feeding yourself with good things is crucial.
Take today; try eating something life giving. See if it’s easier to not relapse and fight off triggers. See if you feel happier. See if you have more people wanting to hang out with you.
Take today and be mindful!
If you have a miracle, something that you overcame, please post it in Miracle and I will celebrate with you. If you have any questions post them in Lost and Found and I’ll respond!!!
Have an amazing Wednesday!!! Be blessed
